Where the Wind Takes Us

$72.00

We spend so much of our lives trying to know exactly where we are going.

We make plans.

We choose a direction.

We convince ourselves that if we are careful enough, we can somehow predict what comes next.

But life rarely moves in a perfectly straight line.

Sometimes the path shifts.

Sometimes something unexpected carries us somewhere we never intended to go.

And sometimes, that turns out to be exactly where we needed to be.

The movement in this piece reminds me of wind traveling across an open landscape gently lifting the sand, changing its direction and leaving behind a completely new pattern.

Nothing about it could have been precisely planned.

One color moves into another. Soft cream gives way to warm sand and deeper brown before changing direction again. There are quiet spaces and stronger markings, but somehow they all belong together.

Maybe there is something comforting in that.

We don't always have to know where the road is taking us.

We don't have to have every turn figured out before we begin.

Sometimes we simply have to trust ourselves enough to keep going.

Because the unexpected turns don't necessarily take us away from our story.

Sometimes they become the most beautiful part of it.
